How can you not love San Antonio, with the river walk, great food, and lots to see and do? And lots of nearby places for day trips such as Luckenbach and Fredricksburg in the beautiful Hill Country!
“Let’s go to Luckenbach, Texas
With Waylon and Willie and the boys
This successful life we’re livin’
Got us feuding like the Hatfields and McCoys
Between Hank Williams’ pain songs and
Newbury’s train songs and Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain
Out in Luckenbach, Texas ain’t nobody feelin’ no pain”
– Chips Moman/Bobby Emmons
Campground: San Antonio KOA
Location: San Antonio, Texas
Site: E6
Cost: $35
Services: FHU
Comments: For an RV park it was quite spacious with lots of big trees. Hard to believe you are right in a large city. Easy access to sites around the city. There is a guarded, gated entry. Guard warned us not to frequent areas nearby (outside of the gate) at night.
