Drumheller is a lovely town located in the Red Deer Valley in an area aptly named the Canadian Badlands. It is a tourist destination in the summer and full of activities and sights to see. It lies about 70 miles northeast of Calgary in a very distinct scenic location. A must see if you are in central Alberta.
RV Park: Dinosaur RV Park
Location: Drumheller, Alberta
Site: 52 – pull thru
Cost: $40 ($50 CAD)
Services: FHU (30AMP)
Comments: A small RV park right in town with both back-ins and pull-thru sites. All sites appeared to be level but came in a variety of lengths. We had an end pull-thru which worked perfectly for us. The park can be crowded in the summer time so make sure you have a reservation.
The sites are nicely maintained but mostly gravel and come in different shapes and sizes. Some of the sites back up against Highway 56 therefore traffic noise can be heard during the day but the nights are usually quiet and pleasant.
The RV park has a few antique pieces of farm equipment and the cutest dump station we have ever seen. The park is ideally located in town close to attractions and shopping.
