Off to Edberg to visit family and on our drive we passed canola field after canola field after canola field. It never gets old especially when they are in/near their peak color.
An on to our site! Full amenities, food, conversation, booze, fun, etc. It was hot, it was so hot but we managed to plug in to a 20 AMP and we could then have one A/C running. We have 2 A/C’s but need 50 AMP to run them both at the same time. It worked perfectly because we weren’t in the motorhome during the day and by night it was cooled off so much (both indoors and outdoors) that we ould then turn off the A/C and open the windows and enjoy those fabulous cool Alberta summer nights. It was great!
As typical of a prairie summer we had beautiful sunsets and a few isolated thunderstorms with some amazing skies.
We hiked through some of the trails, saw the blinds, and enjoyed farm life.
Then we took the ATV’s out for a spin one day and rode all over. Great fun!
Most of the fields in the area are either canola or wheat but we did go by a fava bean field also known as a broad bean or faba bean and checked out the crop. Nice!
Anyway, we had a fantastic time, as usual. Thanks to all who fed, housed, and entertained us!
