We decided to take the WaveRunners out on Lake Coeur d’Alene and head down to Harrison, Idaho.
Harrison is at the mouth of the Coeur d’Alene River where it feeds into Lake Coeur d’Alene along the east side. It is a small town with a population of just a few hundred people. We launched at the Coeur d’Alene Resort on the north end of the lake and rode the WaveRunners down the lake. It took us about an hour of flat out riding to get down to Harrison. We fueled up at Harrison and headed over to Mowry State Park for a bit of lunch. A great place to stop, enjoy the scenery, and take a bit of a break.
One of the things we really like about the Waverunners is the ability to pretty much stop anywhere and jump into the water and cool off. You don’t need to tie up to a dock or anchor like you would with a big boat. We just jump in and hold on to the Waverunner with the line so it doesn’t drift off and just play in the water. And if the water is pretty still you can just let go and swim around for awhile and pop back on and off you go. Love it.
