Really? The end of summer? Almost.
How can that be? Seems like summer just started.
This weekend is Labor Day weekend and many schools start next week. That means….drum roll please…we will have the lakes and rivers to ourselves! Awesome! Especially if a bit of an Indian Summer decides to sneak it’s way in to our area.
We decided to have another dinner sunset cruise, one of our favorite ways to spend time on the water. A little champagne, a few lamb chops on the barbie, and a huge salad. AND a few last soaks and floats and jumps into the lake! Wonderful!
AND we play “Pontoon” by “Little Big Town” on the tunes (toons)!
“On the pontoon
Makin’ waves and catchin’ rays up on the roof
Jumpin’ out the back, don’t act like you don’t want to
Party in slow motion
Out here in the open
Mmmmmmm…motorboatin’ ”
– Dar Williams
After dinner, of course, then we started up again and took a cruise and watched the sunset. A beautiful ending to a beautiful day.
Yes! Yes! It is almost time for all the children to go back to school and their parents to stay home! This is our favorite time of the year. Only a few days left!!!
What a beautiful sunset boat ride:)
