Government Wash is a free boondocking area in Lake Mead Recreation Area with a 15 day limit. It has trash bins and restrooms and area for approximately 30 rigs of different sizes. It provides wonderful views of the surrounding mountains and Lake Mead. A national recreation pass is required to access this area but it is well worth it.
We met up with our friends, Leigh and Brian, of Aluminarium at Lake Mead Government Wash. It is also where we met Jim and Gayle of Life’s Little Adventures as they were joining Leigh and Brian also.
Leigh and Brian had done a terrific job of getting a great group site with excellent views of the surrounding area. What a beautiful place! We stayed a few nights with them and enjoyed drinks and dinner and just general socializing with them. AND we added some new friends to our list, also a wonderful thing.
The views from our site were excellent. Both sunrise and sunset were stunning.
Thanks again to Leigh and Brian and great meeting you Jim and Gayle. Until next time.
It was great seeing you guys, even though brief. Great photos! See you Saturday!
Your photos are beautiful, Lisa!
Looks like a fun stop with great friends new and old:)
