The Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix, Arizona is a lovely oasis buried in a large metropolitan area yet is serene, peaceful, and beautiful. Cacti, flowers, and nature abound with lovely paths and sitting areas so you can spend the day admiring the scenery.
In the spring of 2016 the Gardens hosted an evening event showcasing the artwork of Bruce Munro which includes fiber optic lights and an inventive array of materials dispersed throughout the garden. A wonderful opportunity to see the Gardens in a whole different light, pun intended.
The Bruce Munro exhibit includes not only the wonderful array of lights but many architectural structures lit up.
We spent a wonderful day and evening wandering the Sonoran desert admiring both nature and man made objects. A must see.
