We departed Cave Creek in Arizona and drove north via Highway 93 which is a very scenic route and passes the town of Nothing, Arizona. How cool is that? It also drives through one of the most dense forests of Joshua Trees and is stunning. Then on to Kingman and over the pass into the Bullhead City/Laughlin area.
We continue to come back to this place. It is great stopping over place to shop, do laundry, get caught up on emails and bills, have a few campfires, and just have a general all around rest. AND they offer free firewood.
We happened to pull in during the Laughlin River Run event which is the largest motorcycle event in the West. We had no idea it was going on but after witnessing a few thousand motorcycles near Kingman and Bullhead City we did a quick google search and realized we were arriving smack dab in the middle of the event. Luckily, since Big Bend does not offer reservations, we snagged a great site with a fantastic view.
