Farragut State Park is located north of Coeur d’Alene and offers beautiful camping sites year round. Besides having a beautiful lake for summer fun it also provides lots of hiking and biking trails. We have visited here a number of times, plus we lived nearby, so it is an all time favorite place to visit.
Campground: Waldron Campground
Location: Athol, Idaho
Site: Waldron Redtail – Site 212 (pull thru)
Cost: $25.00
Services: W/E (30 AMP)
Comments: Our favorite site at Farragut. It is a very large pull-thru with lots of site privacy, beautiful trees but not so much that it blocks your satellite reception!
The Waldron Campground is one of the campgrounds at the state park and it has 3 loops, Kestrel, Nighthawk, and Redtail.
The park is a beautiful location and full of wildlife and gorgeous scenery.
The park has about 45 miles of hiking trails. We still haven’t done all of them but we are trying.
