We headed to Quartzsite for a short stay on our way home from Borrego Springs. Even though we were just there recently we still wanted to stop and enjoy a few days of boondocking and have a bit of time to enjoy the town.

We decided to stay a night or 2 at Hi Jolly BLM since we wanted to do a few things in town and we liked the close proximity to town that this area offers. Since we had already registered less than 14 days ago we didn’t need to re-register and we still had our pass.

Heading into Hi Jolly BLM

What Hi Jolly BLM looks like in December – very little crowds compared to January!!

A bit of peace and quiet – near the entrance

Cleaning the solar panels

Up on the rooftop

Chillin at Hi Jolly

Happy Hour

Beautiful day

Breakfast over a campfire

Stoking the fire
We headed into town for a bit of shopping, ice cream, RV shopping at La Mesa RV, book store, etc. All the normal things!

Need I say more

Beer Belly’s – you can actually find a seat in December (unlike January)

Beer Belly’s – a few people enjoying the bar

He can look at tools FOREVER!!!

Our next ride

The most expensive ice cream we have ever had – almost $15 for 2 cones!! Hey, we’re retired!!!

More expensive than a pizza!!
After a few days near town we decided it was time to move on!
