On our previous stay in Newport we camped at South Beach State Park campground. This time we were looking for something a little different and decided to try out the Port of Newport RV Park. It is located at the marina with great views of the Yaquina Bay bridge and walking distance to the Oregon Coast Aquarium and the Rogue Distillery.
The entrance to the Port of Newport RV Park is just around the corner from the Rogue Distillery.
RV Park: Port Of Newport RV Park
Location: Newport, Oregon (next to the Marina and the Rogue Spirits Distillery)
Site: 43 (back-in)
Cost: $64
Services: FHU (50 AMP)
Comments: A typical RV park in a great location if you like boats, the water, views, and easy access to amenities. AND you must love hearing barking seals….all night long……
We enjoyed our stay here especially since we love Newport. The park was full while we were there with many people having their own boats and spending the day fishing and/or crabbing. We saw people steaming their clams and shelling their crab. Yumm…
There is a walking/bike trail in the area, a fishing pier to walk out on, and is close driving distance to many spectacular sites (next post). And lots of great views of the bridge!
It was an enjoyable stay even though it has an RV Park feel to it. There was no picnic table nor was there a campfire pit but it it was still great to see all the boats and the marine life.
