We departed Joshua Tree National Park towards Laughlin, Nevada and drove east on California Highway 62 and then north on Highway 95 from Vidal Junction. We enjoy Highway 62 with its dips, sign posts, and shoe and rock art. It makes for a fun drive.
Our goal was to camp at Big Bend of the Colorado in Laughlin but, unfortunately, it was full so we needed another temporary stopover and chose Avi Casino KOA RV Park. We have driven by this park many times on our way to Big Bend but have never stopped here. We took a chance and they had sites available. It was a nice RV Park with full hookups and great views. We had lots to share with having the same type of coach.

Comments: Level, gravel sites with lovely views and lots of Palm Trees. There is a dump station on the premises and the streets were nice and wide. The free WiFi was unusable so we spent our time at the library. The sites are designed such that the sitting areas of adjacent sites are next to each other. You get to know your neighbors and we had a terrific couple next to us and enjoyed our time with them. You also get free use of the Casino amenities such as the beach, swimming pool, and fitness club.
The RV Park and Casino are just over the Colorado River from Fort Mohave, Arizona which means it is close to shopping and gas stations and closer to Fort Mohave than Laughlin. The Casino is waterfront on the Colorado River and the RV Park is across the street within easy walking distance. The RV Park is well maintained and has a nice big overflow area. The Mojave Crossing Event Center is close to the Casino which means if there is an event going on then the RV Park and Overflow can be full.

No, not at all. It is just like any other RV Park and/or campground. You may want to call ahead to make a reservation or check about availability as they do tend to fill up at times when there are events in the area. Enjoy your travels and thanks for checking out our website.
