We had a beautiful drive from St. George along I-15 to north of Salt Lake City to Charlie’s Service in Sunset, Utah (next to Ogden). Charlie’s had specialized in Alfa Motorhomes years ago but today it services all types of motorhomes and also specializes in classic cars. Many Alfa Owners use Charlie’s if they are in the area. We had heard that they provided great service and had hookups for spending the night. We knew that eventually we would need new gaskets for our slides and had thought this might be a good opportunity, since we were driving right by, to get an appointment and get some work done.
Charlie’s is located right off I-15 and is very accessible. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon while they were closed and they had told us to park wherever and hookup. By Monday morning they were busy working on on our slide gaskets and finished by early afternoon. We spent another night there and were off early the next morning. We highly recommend Charlie’s as both their customer service and their RV service was excellent. We have new gaskets!
Not only do they provide terrific service, they also provide free WiFi but you need to be either in the reception area or darn close to it to receive the signal. And they are located across the interstate from Hill AFB which means you can sit and watch some air shows with the Air Force flying their F-22’s around. Norm had a blast!
Lo and behold, not only do you have fantastic views to the east of the Wasatch mountains but you also have a view (in the winter months where there are no leaves on the trees) to the west where you get a glimmer of the Great Salt Lake and fantastic sunsets. The down side? Traffic noise, traffic noise, traffic noise….but then again, we weren’t there for the peace and quiet!
I have a 2002 alfa SeeYa, build number 0088. I am trying to find out the size of the nuts that hold on the chrome simulator wheel covers and the hub cover. I have lost 3 of them off 1 wheel that a tire shop did not tighten. Luckily I didn’t lose the chrome.
Hi Jerry,
On my ’04 SeeYa the regular nuts that hold the wheels on are 33mm.
The nuts that hold on the simulators measure 41mm which I believe
would equate to 1 5/8″.
Hope that helps,
Norm
