We are in a world of our own over the Christmas holidays with lots of wonderful hiking and less than 5 minutes to stores. The main part of the park is packed during the Christmas season but Black Rock remains quiet and peaceful. Pure heaven. Even had a bit of a cell phone signal from our site. And, yes, the solar panels did work. We were parked right next to a mountain so the sun was setting pretty darn early (around 3pm or so) since it was late December. And the sun was slow to rise with the mountains on the other side. But it managed to still charge the batteries fully. Yay!
