Sea-Vu West – Wells, Maine

We continued heading east after departing Brattleboro in Vermont and drove through the entire state of New Hampshire on our way to Maine. New Hampshire isn’t very wide so it didn’t take us very long. We did manage to stop at a New Hampshire visitor rest area to fuel up, restock the liquor cabinet (prices are more favorable in New Hampshire instead of Maine), and have a lovely breakfast sandwich and coffee. The breakfast sandwich was excellent!

Yes, we were the first check-in of the season. How cool is that? The RV Park had just opened that day and we were first. This means another great stay with a campground almost all to ourselves. AND the laundry will be empty! They even gave us a nice gift of a mug, a sticker, and a $10 coupon for the local doughnut shop. YAY!

Comments: A lovely grassed RV Park with swimming pool, hot tub, laundry, bocce ball, and nice level sites. There is a separate section for park models and seasonal guests.

Sea Vu West, not to be confused with Sea Vu Campground or Sea Vu South which are in the same area – don’t confuse them, is about 10 minutes to Kennebunkport. It makes for an easy drive into town to explore. Or so we thought!!! We just happened to be there during a marathon and we got stuck in traffic in all directions. No matter which road we detoured on we were stuck in traffic again. It kind of spoiled our day but we had fun with it and spent a lot of time just looking out the window and watching the runners as we inched along at a snail’s pace.

The View

The town of Wells along route 1 is less than 1 mile from the RV park and the beaches are not much further past that. It is a lovely little area to explore.
