We departed Paul B. Johnson State Park in Hattiesburg, Mississippi and headed through Jackson and Vicksburg wishing we had time to stop and explore both of those areas. Soon we were crossing the Mighty Mississippi River which is a monumental landmark denoting we are have left the eastern United States.
