We love LePage Park. It is run by the Army Corps of Engineers and is conveniently located just off I-84 in the Columbia River gorge in Oregon. A perfect stopover for us as we head to the Oregon coast. With an Interagency Pass you can get 50% off your camping

At the Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge with a 12

At the Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge with a 12 mile auto tour route, a few miles of hiking trails, and a great diversity of birds. Over 210 bird species use this refuge during their migration which can see over 125,000 birds at peak time usually in October. It is a terrific place. AND a great education center. Well worth the visit even if we did get drenched in the pouring rain during our hike.
